The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest Saturday in connection with a shooting incident that put a man in an Indiana hospital.
Deputies received a call of a possible shooting at 179 Liberty Church Road and found 66-year old William Matheny with a gunshot wound.
The suspect, later identified as 48-year old Tara Skaggs of Madisonville, had fled the scene and was later located and arrested for first-degree assault (domestic violence).
Matheny was taken first to Baptist Health Hospital and later flown to Deaconess Hosptial in Evansville.
