Woman sought on warrants arrested after foot pursuit

A Hopkinsville woman sought on warrants is facing several new charges following a foot pursuit Saturday night.

Officer Jeremy Davidson attempted to make a traffic stop on a car driven by 27-year old Jessica Phillips of Hopkinsville for equipment violations, according to the arrest citation, which says she turned into Manhattan Motel parking lot on South Main Street and exited her car.

She allegedly ignored commands to stop and went into a room and then exited through a rear window.

Phillips allegedly ran when located again and was soon caught at South Main and West Fourth Street.

A search at the jail allegedly revealed a partially smoked synthetic marijuana cigar in her pocket.

She was charged with promoting contraband, fleeing or evading police, possession of synthetic drugs and drug paraphernalia and she was served with warrants for failing to appear in court.
