Gov reports 3,795 new COVID cases, 49 deaths

Governor Andy Beshear said there were 3,795 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday in Kentucky and 49 more deaths.

Kentucky had a positivity rate less than 11 percent for a second consecutive day at 10.56 percent, 1,604 Kentuckians are in the hospital with the virus, 403 in the ICU and 209 on a ventilator.

The commonwealth’s pandemic death toll now stands at 3,386.

Meanwhile, the Tennessee Department of Health reported 4,029 new cases and 42 more deaths. Tennessee had an 11.42 percent positivity rate and 2,264 Tennesseans are in the hospital.
