Trinity High School named defensive coordinator Jay Cobb as its new head coach Thursday. Cobb has been a part of the Shamrocks program since 2014. He is a Webster County native and began his coaching career as an assistant at Henderson County in 1981 and was a head coach at five schools including Webster County, South Hopkins, Somerset and Campbellsville. Cobb replaces long time coach Bob Beatty, who announced his retirement last week.
