In his first interview since being named defensive coordinator at Auburn, former Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason told a Nashville radio station today he reached out to new Commodores coach Clark Lea. He said he told Lea “to be himself, do the job and that he was more than capable”. Mason added Lea will have success and that success is truly dependent on him being able to cast his vision and Vanderbilt resourcing it.
