Tavieon Hollingsworth scored on a layup with 47 seconds left and added a free throw with 23 seconds left as Western Kentucky edged Louisiana Tech 67-64 last night at Diddle Arena. Charles Bassey had a double-double with 24 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Hilltoppers in scoring. WKU and Louisiana Tech play again this evening with pregame at 5:30 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
Meanwhile, WKU’s Lady Toppers won their Conference USA opener at Louisiana Tech 61-55. The two teams will meet again in Ruston this afternoon at 4 pm.
