Friday’s Bowl Scores/Saturday’s Bowl Schedule

Jack Podlesny hit a career-long 53-yard field goal with three seconds left to lift Georgia to the win as they beat previously-unbeaten Cincinnati 24-21 at the Peach Bowl in Atlanta. Podlesny had three field goals in the win. JT Daniels threw for 392 yards, a touchdown and an interception for the Bulldogs as they move to 8-and-2. George Pickins had seven catches for 135 yards and a score for U-G-A. Desmond Ridder had 206 yards passing and two touchdowns while Jerome Ford had 97 yards rushing and a score in the loss. Josh Whyle and Alec Pierce had touchdown receptions as the Bearcats fall to 9-and-1.

Peyton Ramsey threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as Northwestern beat Auburn 35-19 in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. Ramsey threw for 291 yards as the Wildcats improved to 7-and-2. Cam Porter ran for 98 yards and a touchdown while John Raine, Riley Lees and Ramaud Chiaokhiao-Bowman [[ ruh-MAUD CHAW-kee-OW BOW-man ]] caught scoring passes in the win. Bo Nix threw for 292 yards and a score as the Tigers fell to 6-and-5. DJ Williams had a touchdown on the ground in the loss.

Bowl action Saturday has Ole Miss meeting Indiana in the Outback Bowl with kickoff at 11:30 am, 10th ranked Iowa State goes against 25th ranked Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl at 3 pm and fifth ranked Texas A&M tangles with 13th ranked North Carolina in the Orange Bowl at 7 this evening in Miami.
