When Yu Darvish was introduced to the media in San Diego Thursday, he said he was shocked to learn he had been traded by the Chicago Cubs earlier this week. The pitcher got very emotional in talking about his time with the Cubs. Darvish added he was excited about joining a “strong” Padres team that should challenge in the 2021 season for the National League pennant.
