Comer says COVID relief bill is a good compromise

Congressman James Comer believes the COVID relief package passed Monday night was a good compromise between the Democratic House and Republican Senate.

He says the bill takes a “targeted approach” at addressing the many needs created by the pandemic.

The bill doesn’t include liability protections for businesses or schools as Comer had hoped, but he says the necessary Democratic support to pass a bill wasn’t there with those protections left in.

The funding included for the vaccines will be instrumental in transporting the temperature-sensitive shots across the country, according to Congressman Comer.
