Southern Illinois edged Murray State 70-66 in Carbondale Friday night. The Racers got a game high 17 points from KJ Williams with Brion Whitley adding 15 and Chico Carter pitched in 10 in a losing effort. The Racers are now 3-2 on the season and return to action next Tuesday night hosting Transylvania. That’s a schedule change announced Friday night as the original opponent-Prairie View A&M-is dealing with Covid-19 issues.
