The Chicago Cubs appear to be saying goodbye to Kyle Schwarber. The left-handed slugger was among four players non-tendered by the Cubs yesterday, making them all free-agents. The other three players were Albert Almora Jr, José Martínez, and Ryan Tepera. Players whose 2021 contracts were tendered include Javier Báez, Kris Bryant, Victor Caratini, Willson Contreras and Ian Happ.

The St. Louis Cardinals are clearing two spots on their roster by declining to tender offers to reliever John Brebbia and infielder Rangel Ravelo. Both players are now free agents. St. Louis tendered contracts to their five other arbitration-eligible players, including pitchers Jack Flaherty, Jordan Hicks, Alex Reyes and John Gant, as well as center fielder Harrison Bader. The Cards roster now stands at 37.
