Greenville PD arrests man for meth trafficking

A traffic stop Tuesday afternoon in Greenville led to the arrest of the driver for methamphetamine trafficking.

Greenvile police stopped 48-year old James Heath of Belton for not using a turn signal and a news release says a search with consent given allegedly revealed methamphetamine and prescription painkillers in Heath’s sock.

Additional items of drug paraphernalia were located in the car, according to police.

Heath was arrested for trafficking in meth, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to use a turn signal and failure to provide proof of insurance.

A passenger, 36-year old Terry Ramey of Central City, was arrested on an Ohio County warrant.
