Just like the coaches recently, the Ohio Valley Conference Media have selected Austin Peay and Murray State as preseason favorites to win the men’s basketball title this season. Also like the coaches, the media have selected Austin Peay’s Terry Taylor as preseason Player of the Year.
On the women’s side, the media members picked Austin Peay sixth and Murray State seventh. UT Martin was their pick to win the league.
