Todd County schools going virtual through Dec. 4

The Todd County School System has announced it’s transitioning to all virtual instruction through Friday, December 4 due to an increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the county and in the district.

In a letter to the community Monday afternoon, Superintendent Mark Thomas says, “Todd County School District school buildings will be closed to students to allow for deep cleaning. All Todd County employees will report to their designated building to continue to provide virtual instruction.

He says, “The closure of the buildings is a preventative measure due to the confirmed, positive cases, and students and staff quarantined. I strongly urge all parents and students to report to the Todd County Health Department when there is a confirmed, positive case.”

Food service will be available for pickup at South Todd Elementary, North Todd Elementary and Todd County Central High School daily from 10:30am-1:00pm, at the back door of the cafeterias. Todd County School students can pick up breakfast and lunch from the school during the designated time.

Thomas says further information regarding after school and extracurricular activities will be released later.
