UK, U of L, WKU & Vanderbilt announce basketball signees Wednesday

The University of Kentucky announced the signing of three players Wednesday. They are Damion Collins, a 6-9 prospect from Atlanta High School in Atlanta, TX, 6-2 Nolan Hickman, a Seattle native who is playing this season at Wasatch Academy and 6-7 Bryce Hopkins from Oak Park, IL.

Louisville’s basketball recruiting class is ranked in the top 20 after picking up four signatures yesterday. The new Cardinals are Tallahassee, Florida JUCO guard El Ellis, Orlando Ridge High swingman Mike James, Creedmore, NC guard Bobby Pettiord and Raleigh, NC forward Eric Van der Heijden. All four are rated among the nation’s top 200 prospects for the 2021 class.

Western Kentucky announced the signing of Marshall County senior Zion Harmon. The 5-11 guard averaged 25.4 points for Marshall County last season. He played at Bowling Green High in his 8th grade year, winning a state championship.

Vanderbilt coach Jerry Stackhouse announced four-star recruits Peyton Daniels and Gabe Dorsey signed letters-of-intent yesterday. Daniels is a 6-foot-2 guard from Tri-Cities, Georgia. Dorsey is a 6-foot-6 wing from The Hill School in Pennsylvania.
