In a year that’s been especially trying for faculty and staff at schools across the country, the Christian County Public School System honored its teacher and staff member of the year during a ceremony Tuesday night.
Indian Hills Elementary School fifth grade math teacher Allison Faulkner was the districtwide teacher of the year and Freedom Elementary Family Resource Coordinator Chris Dudley is the staff member of the year.
The school system presented its Spirit of Excellence Award to MLK Elementary technology teacher Melissa Adams and Christian County High School Attendance Clerk Tammy Ceiling.
A teacher and staff member was nominated for the awards from each school and district officials say they were all deserving of recognition.
