Braves & White Sox players top Silver Slugger Awards

The NL East champion Atlanta Braves are tops in the major leagues with four Silver Slugger winners this season. Outfielders Ronald Acuna Jr. and Marcell Ozuna, first baseman Freddie Freeman and catcher Travis d’Arnaud were all recognized as the top offensive performers at their positions in the National League.

The other NL winners are San Francisco Giants second baseman Donovan Solano, San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. and third baseman Manny Machado, Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto and Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts.

The Chicago White Sox set the pace in the American League with three Silver Slugger winners. First baseman Jose Abreu, shortstop Tim Anderson and outfielder Eloy Jimenez all represent the Pale Hose.

The other AL winners are Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez, New York Yankees second baseman D.J. LeMahieu, Cleveland Indians third baseman Jose Ramirez, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout, Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez and Minnesota Twins DH Nelson Cruz.
