The league’s Most Valuable Player Award finalists are out. In the National League, they are Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and Manny Machado. In the AL, the finalists are Jose Abreu, D.J. LeMahieu and Jose Ramirez. Winners will be announced a week from Thursday.
Meanwhile, Rookie of the Year, Manager of the Year and Cy Young Awards will be announced next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. The NL Cy Young finalists are Trevor Bauer, Yu Darvish and Jacob deGrom. In the AL, they are Shane Bieber, Kenta Maeda and Hyun Jin Ryu.
