The Tennessean reports the newly named TransPerfect Music City Bowl will likely be played this year. Bowl president and CEO Scott Ramsey is confident the game can take place provided its two conference partners, the SEC and Big 10 can complete their schedules.
Also, the date of the game has yet to be announced with Ramsey indicating the date will be determined by television availability and expects ESPN to announce the complete bowl schedule next week.
