30 percent voter turnout predicted in Todd County

Todd Fiscal Court worked through a short agenda quickly during a special-called meeting Tuesday morning.

Magistrates approved a request from Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield to designate $50,000 from the Road Fund to pave Harris Road and Flat Rock Road in north Todd.

County Clerk Cindy O’Bryan says 2,000 people have voted early in-person or by absentee and she’s predicting a 30 percent total turnout by 6 p.m. on Election Day.

Todd County Sheriff Tracy White will receive $20,000 that was already in the budget to purchase a 2020 Dodge Durango, with the remaining $13,000 to come from funds in his own department.

Todd County Dispatch was given approval to hire three new part-time dispatchers and officials say they are still hiring.

In other action, Judge-Executive Mansfield appointed William Fox to the Todd County Water District Board.
