Public library offering new services, hosting ‘book tasting’ event

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is starting to get back into the swing of hosting events, and are offering new services to the public.

Executive Director Deanna Sova appeared on WHOP Friday morning and says there will be a ‘book tasting’ event that takes place all week starting Monday, where readers can come and get a ‘taste’ for different genres of books and decide if they want to read them.

Sova says they’re continuing to offer internet ‘hot spots’ for check-out, in an effort to help students who are learning from home that don’t have reliable internet services.

Along with their usual offerings of books and DVD’s for check-out, Sova says they’ll soon start offering video games as well, which she thinks people will be excited about.  The Imagination Library is operating at full steam to get more children ages five years old and younger reading, and they’re always accepting new registrations and donations to the program.
