Alabama coach Nick Saban and athletic director Greg Byrne have tested positive for the coronavirus. Saban is self-isolating at-home while overseeing practice via Zoom. He says he doesn’t have any symptoms and wanted to reiterate to players that they should assume anyone they come into contact with could have it. All players and staff will be tested again today. Saturday’s game with third ranked Georgia is still set to go on as planned.
Another SEC football game won’t be played this weekend due to coronavirus issues. The LSU Tigers were scheduled to visit the Florida Gators this weekend, but the Gators are dealing with infections and quarantines. The SEC says the game’s new date as of now is December 12th.
This is the second SEC game to be postponed because of the virus. Vanderbilt is also having virus-related issues, so they won’t be playing Missouri on Saturday.
