Hopkinsville police arrested a man Tuesday night who allegedly made threats to blow up the hospital and to kill police officers and their families.
Officers were called to the 400 block of East 23rd Street three times for 45-year old Tony Hale of Hopkinsville causing a disturbance while under the influence of alcohol.
Hale agreed to go to bed, but police say he fell and hit his head and was rendered unconscious. EMS transported him to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where police were called to around 11:30 p.m. after he began causing problems again.
An arrest citation says Hale called a doctor a racial slur, told him that he and his white supremacist friends would kill him and that he grabbed a nurse on the buttocks.
Hale reportedly continued that he would kill all of the staff members and that he would blow up the hospital.
When three police officers arrived, he allegedly told them he’d kill them and that he had placed bombs on their cruisers. The report says he also threatened to kill the officers’ wives and children.
Hale was arrested and charged with four counts of third-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree disorderly conduct.
