A Todd County Grand Jury has returned a murder indictment against the man who was allegedly driving impaired on July 29 when he went off Blue and Gray Park Road and killed a woman standing near her home.
The true bill against 42-year old Billy Jo Faughn of Hopkinsville is for murder, aggravated DUI and possession of marijuana.
Kentucky State Police investigated the crash and allege Faughn traveled 402 feet after leaving Blue and Gray Park Road before striking 71-year old Sarah “Janie” Barrow and pushing her through the wall of her garage.
Barrow later died at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Police say Faughn performed poorly on field sobriety tests and it’s believed he was under the influence of narcotics. Excessive speed was also listed as a factor in the crash.
