Max’s Hope Pet Rescue in Hopkinsville is on the search for volunteers to help provide for the animals in their care—and they’re asking for the public’s help.
Director Tammy Stratton says things have definitely been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, including fundraising efforts—she says one of the many things that need help with is someone who can think of creative ways to help raise funds for the rescue, which is 100 percent donation funded.
She says they need volunteers for a slew of things—from walking dogs, to cleaning litter boxes, to taking animals to veterinary appointments.
Stratton says they’re always grateful for any donations, monetary or otherwise, and anyone interested in donating can either mail it in or drop if it off at their location at 105 Metcalfe Drive.
While fundraising efforts and other operations have been impacted, Stratton says the need for animal care and a place to keep them safe has only increased—and that COVID-19 can’t tell animals when to need help.
