Marshall’s Nimmo, Trinty’s team win at Boys KHSAA Golf Tournament

It ended literally at dark, but Marshall County’s Jay Nimmo won in a playoff making a par putt on the first hole to defend his title at the KHSAA Boys State Tournament that concluded Wednesday at Bowling Green Country Club.

Nimmo and Rylan Wotherspoon of Cooper High-were tied for the lead heading into the final round. Both finished two rounds at three under par 141.

Trinity won the team championship with a 614 total which was four strokes better than Taylor County. Marshall County finished third at 622 with Greenwood finishing fourth at 633.
