Fowler named Distinguished Young Woman of Christian County

Christian County High School senior Sophi Fowler has been named Distinguished Young Woman of Christian County.

She was one of nine young ladies who competed for the distinction in categories such as best essay, talent, scholastics, fitness and interview.

The first runner-up was Hopkinsville High School senior Samaria Sims, CCHS senior Madeline Gibson was second runner-up and Christian County senior Macy Baker was third runner-up.

Fowler and Sims were co-winners in fitness and talent; and Fowler and Gibson split the self-expression and interview categories.

Karenna Chaudoin was the Be Your Best Self essay contest winner.

Sims won the committee spirit award and Evelyn Morales was the runner-up. Hiley Welker received the participant spirit award.

Fowler will now advance to participate in the Kentucky Distinguished Young Woman competition.
