CCHD reports 26th COVID-19 related death, 27 new cases

The Christian County Health Department is reporting the county’s 26th COVID-19 related death, along with 27 new confirmed cases.

According to a news release, the 26th victim was an 89-year old male with underlying health conditions—officials send out their condolences to his friends and family.

The health department also reported 27 new cases of COVID-19 from Saturday to Monday, bringing the overall total up to 1,459.  That makes 212 cases considered active and 1,221 people have recovered from the illness.

Broken down into age groups, there are 37 active cases in the pediatric age group, 95 in the young adult to middle age grouping, 54 in the older adult category and 26 in the elderly age group.
