Denny Hamlin is moving on to the third round of the NASCAR Playoffs. Hamlin edged Matt DiBenedetto to win the YellaWood 500 at Talladega. The race went to three overtimes after an abundance of cautions. DiBenedetto finished 21st instead of second after NASCAR ruled he forced William Byron below the yellow line. Erik Jones ended up taking second while Ty Dillon finished third. Byron and Chase Elliott rounded out the top five.
