Metro Nashville Police arrested a Hopkinsville man early Sunday morning on drug trafficking charges.
Officers were dispatched to the Waffle House on Trinity Lane just before 5:30 a.m. to check on a man possibly passed out in a pickup and made contact with 27-year old Ralph Cole of Hopkinsville.
A news release says there were several bags of marijuana in plain sight and a search of the truck allegedly turned up 55 grams of methamphetamine, four and a half grams of ecstasy, 29 assorted pills, three-quarters of a pound of psilocybin mushrooms, three pounds of marijuana, a shotgun, pistol and $1,858 cash.
Cole reportedly told police he was on his way back from a “hippie concert” and denied having knowledge of the drugs.
He was arrested and jailed on a $128,000 bond for multiple drug trafficking and gun charges.
