Kentucky on pace for weekly high of COVID-19 cases

Governor Andy Beshear announced 973 new COVID-19 cases and five more deaths during his Saturday update.

The governor says 132 of the new cases are children 18 or younger, including 18 who are five or younger.

A total of 1,154 Kentuckians have died from the virus.

Governor Beshear says the commonwealth is on pace to have its largest number of new COVID-19 cases in one week.

Tennessee gained 1,437 new cases and 22 more deaths. Montgomery County added 25 cases, Robertson County seven and Stewart County gained six additional cases.
