Ky. gains 745 COVID-19 cases, 13 new deaths

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced 745 new COVID-19 cases, and 13 new deaths during Thursday’s update.

That brings the overall total in the Commonwealth up to 64,158, and the positivity rate is sitting right around 4.57 percent.  There were 13 new deaths, putting the death toll at 1,137, and Governor Beshear says that although the mortality rate continues to creep down for the state, there will keep being victims until the spread is brought under control.

The governor says as it starts to cool down outside, people need to be wary of large gatherings indoors and make sure those health guidelines are being followed strictly.

He says his office still intends to release guidance on trick-or-treating for Halloween this year, so families and children can enjoy the holiday safely while having fun.

The Tennessee Department of Health is reporting 835 new cases of COVID-19 and 35 new deaths—Montgomery County reported seven new cases, Robertson County gained two and Stewart County saw eight new cases.
