Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen is building a location in Hopkinsville.
Mayor Wendell Lynch confirmed to WHOP News that Popeye’s is constructing a restaurant in front of JC Penney on Fort Campbell Boulevard.
Crews have already begun the process of excavating the parking lot.
Popeye’s is best known for its New Orleans-style fried chicken and operates 2,700 restaurants in the U.S. and around the world.
There is already a Popeye’s on Fort Campbell and on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Clarksville.
