Ky. gains 629 new COVID-19 cases, 11 more deaths

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced 628 new cases of COVID-19 during Thursday’s update, and there was a presentation about the upcoming election.

Those new cases brings the overall total up to 59,370 and the positivity rate declined slightly once again to 3.82 percent, with Governor Beshear says is great news, and he’s confident Kentuckians will continue to work and get that rate even lower.

Executive Director of the Kentucky State Board of Elections Jared Dearing explained what an absentee ballot will look like when you receive it, if you elect to use that option to vote in November, and what do with it once you fill it out.

He says Kentuckians will also have never before access to in-person early voting in the weeks leading up to the election, and he encouraged people to take advantage of that.

Eleven more Kentuckians have passed away, putting that total at 1,093.  The Tennessee Department of Health is reporting 1,053 new cases and 13 new deaths.  Montgomery County gained 17 new cases, Robertson County saw six new cases and Stewart County gained five new cases.
