Rotary Auction heading into final stretch after another big night

Thursday was another big night for the 70th WHOP Rotary Radio Auction, which heads into the final two nights.

Ninety-six items sold for a combined $7,180 last night and Hour Club donations totaled $17,574. The cumulative total for the week now stands at $102,572.

Auction Chair Scott Cowan says they’re still accepting donations of items, but local merchants have stepped up and he’s confident they’ll have a good slate of merchandise on the boards through Saturday night.

Anyone wanting to make a donation of $174 or more to the Hour Club can simply log on to Hopkinsvillerotary.com.

Rotary continues selling Boston Butts each day beginning at 11 a.m. and Cowan says you can also pick up any item you purchased in the auction beginning at 11 a.m. daily.

The auction will air from 6 until 10 Friday and 6 until all items are sold Saturday on Lite Rock 98.7 and online at lite987whop.com. It can be viewed on the Hopkinsville rotary website and on Spectrum Cable Channel 376.
