Greenville Road crash sends one to hospital

The Christian County Sherriff’s Department is investigating a single-vehicle crash Thursday that sent a Hopkinsville man to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

According to the collision report, a vehicle operated by 80-year old William Dixon of Hopkinsville was heading east bound on Martin Luther King Bypass when he reportedly failed to stop at the intersection of Greenville Road.

The vehicle crossed Greenville Road and went off the roadway, traveling approximately 236 feet into a bean field before coming to a stop.  Dixon was transported to Jennie Stuart for treatment of pains in his back.
