The Cincinnati Reds scratched out five hits but couldn’t manage a run in a 3-0 loss to the Cubs in Chicago. Reds starter Tyler Mahle struck out ten over seven innings but gave up all three runs to take the loss. Outfielder Shogo Akiyama had two of Cincinnati’s five hits, and Mike Moustakas and Tucker Barnhart each had a double. The teams play again this evening at Wrigley Field with pregame at 6:45 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP.
