The Courier Journal reports Kentucky governor Andy Beshear approved a plan Thursday for University of Louisville fans to attend games at Cardinal Stadium this season. Cardinal Stadium seats 60-thousand 800 attendees. This year’s number will be 20 percent of that or just over 12-thousand.
Last season, the Cardinals averaged nearly 50-thousand fans per home game. U of L opens the season next Saturday, September 12th hosting Western Kentucky at 7 pm Hopkinsville time.
