Two people were arrested following an early morning burglary Thursday on Wallace Avenue.
Hopkinsville police were notified of a burglary in progress on Wallace and were given a description of a dark-colored sedan that left the scene.
Officers made contact with the vehicle at North Main Street and Blooming Grove Road and it was occupied by 27-year old Johnathan Rickard and 27-year old Ashley Legrand of Hopkinsville.
Rickard allegedly admitted they went inside the home and stole property that was found in the vehicle and an arrest citation says tools commonly used to commit burglary were also found.
Rickard and Legrand were arrested and charged with second-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools. Rickard was also charged with driving on a suspended license and served with a warrant for failing to appear in court.
