Kentucky State Police is participating in Operation C.A.R.E this Labor Day weekend.
A news release says Friday through Monday, troopers will be taking part in a national effort to increase officer presence on interstate and U.S. Highways.
KSP says they will put a high emphasis on all traffic enforcement violations, including speeding, failure to wear seat belts, impaired or distracted driving, and commercial vehicle enforcement.
They urge motorists to slow down, buckle up, move over for first responders, eliminate distractions and leave early to allow yourself extra time to reach your destination.
