One of the pre-race favorites for Saturday’s Kentucky Derby-Art Collector-will not run at Churchill Downs. Trainer Tom Drury says the horse is suffering from a “minor foot issue.” Art Collector won the Bluegrass Stakes and the Ellis Park Derby earlier in the summer.
Post positions were also drawn today with pre-race favorite Tiz the Law breaking from the 17th post spot. Tiz the Law is the 3-5 favorite. 18 horses are in the Run for the Roses.
