KSP targeting aggressive drivers during TACT campaign

Kentucky State Police has begun it Ticketing Aggressive Cars and Trucks—or TACT—campaign in an effort to reduce the number of accidents involving commercial vehicles.

State Trooper Corey King says travel typically picks up this time of the year—especially during the upcoming Labor Day weekend—and that means more wrecks.

He says it’s especially dangerous to drive aggressively around semis.

Eighty-eight people died in crashes involving commercial vehicles last year and many of those accidents could have been prevented.

KSP’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement division reminds motorists to allow more time to reach their destination to reduce stress, to not tailgate tractor-trailers and to leave extra space when passing a commercial vehicle.
