Rory McIlroy started fast during the second round of the PGA Tour’s BMW Championship Friday, propelling him into a tie for the lead despite three bogeys down the stretch. McIlroy is one under for the tournament, tied with Patrick Cantlay as the only players under par. Thursday leader Hideki Matsuyama gave back three strokes and is even for the tournament. Louisville area native Justin Thomas is tied for 45th at seven over par.
