The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville helped the local Rotary Club celebrate 100 years of service with a History on Tap event Thursday night.
Official local historian William Turner was among the featured speakers and said helping the youth of Christian County was on the minds of Rotarians from the get-go in 1920.
The Rotary auction to assist local high school students who want to attend college began 70 years ago and Turner says it was an immediate success on the airwaves of WHOP.
This year’s pandemic-delayed auction is coming up September 14 through 20 and it will again air on WHOP.
