The fire that damaged a home on Hawthorne Drive early Sunday morning was possibly electrical in nature.
That’s according to Hopkinsville Fire Department Captain Michael Pendleton, who says the blaze began just before 2 a.m. in the kitchen at 702 Hawthorne and spread. Two adults in the home were asleep, but were awakened by the smoke and made it out safely.
There were no injuries, but the residents are displaced by the fire.
