The Henderson Gleaner reports the father of current Apollo and former Henderson County and Union County coach Mark Starns has died. Tommy Starns coached at Lexington Catholic for 18 season and won three 11th region titles in 1966, 1977 and 1985 among his 327 victories. He would also coach at Lexington Christian from 1988-90. Tommy Starns was 86.
