University Heights Academy will reopen on August 20 with in-person instruction at 50 percent capacity on an alternating schedule.
Parents received an email Wednesday morning from Headmaster Beth Unfried saying UHA worked closely with the Christian County Health Department and they are confident they have adopted the best practices for mitigation measures as outlined by the CDC and our local officials.
The school will follow an A/B, or “Green” and “Gold” schedule. Each pre-school through 12th grade student will be placed in either the “Green” or “Gold” cohort and attend school every other day.
Cohorts will be determined by the students’ last name. Unfried says they will work with families to keep siblings and those living in the same household in the same grouping. UHA will be notifying families of their students’ assigned cohort in the coming days.
If a family chooses not to send their child to school during this time, students will have access to materials and assignments for the partial opening period.
