Man charged in Clarksville fatal shooting incident

The Clarksville Police Department has charged a man in connection with a shooting that killed a teenager in April.

According to a news release, 22-year old Dominic Miceli has been charged with reckless homicide in relation to a shooting incident that occurred in April and resulted in the death of 17-year old Justin Neves.  Miceli was reportedly handling a firearm recklessly in the presence of Neves, who was accidentally shot and then died of his injuries.

Miceli will be booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Officials say in cases of accidental deaths where the suspect is cooperative, and there is no danger to the public, investigative techniques can differ. These cases are often presented to the Montgomery County Grand Jury following extensive investigation for their final decision on the appropriate charge based on the evidence.
