Another FBS conference announced no fall sports-including football-on Monday. The Mountain West Conference joined the MidAmerican Conference in making its announcement.

Conference USA member Old Dominion canceled all fall sports while all other members who include Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee plan to move forward with fall sports plans.

WPSD-Paducah reported last night the Ohio Valley Conference presidents will meet either Wednesday or Thursday to decide the fate of fall sports for the league. Several FCS conferences have already canceled football and other fall sports.

Meanwhile, there’s speculation two of the five most powerful conferences -the Big Ten and the Pac-12 – might call off their seasons and explore the possibility of spring football. The powerful Southeastern Conference made clear it was not ready to shutter its fall season.

With reports and speculation about Power Five conferences cancelling the upcoming season, Louisville coach Scott Satterfield is planning for the upcoming season. In a virtual conference, Satterfield told reporters that he told his players that the plan was for the ACC to move forward with the upcoming season. Satterfield says he’s remained in contact with the conference and would like to hear something “definitive”.
