Cadiz man charged with murder in connection with human remains investigation

Kentucky State Police have identified the human remains recently found near Old Rocky Point Road in Trigg County and charged a Cadiz man with murder in relation to the case.

According to a news release, the remains of the victim have been identified as 25-year old Cameron Phillips of Powderly, following extensive investigation. Phillips reportedly died due to a gunshot wound to the head.

After interviewing multiple individuals and collecting evidence, troopers arrested 31-year old Montie Streeval of Cadiz early Monday morning.

Streeval is charged with first-degree murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and is lodged in the Christian County Jail.
